CanScreen-ECIS project comes to a close
The CanScreen-ECIS project, coordinated by scientists at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), has concluded. The goal of the project was to develop and pilot a new cancer screening data management system to be integrated into the existing European Cancer Information System (ECIS) of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission.

CanScreen-ECIS Project Workshop: 4-5 December 2023, Brussels, Belgium
The CanScreen-ECIS project gathered cancer screening experts from 15 European countries for a 2-day workshop in Brussels to discuss the pilot data collection from cancer screening programmes and the role of monitoring data in quality assurance interventions towards improving cancer screening across Europe.

User Insights Study Survey
We would like to invite you to participate in a survey prepared in the scope of the CanScreen-ECIS project, supported by the European Commission - EU4Health Programme and coordinated by the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
The objective of the survey is to understand the civil society and stakeholders’ needs for information from the cancer screening programmes in Europe and the expectations from the ECIS portal where this information will be presented.
The survey responses will help us to structure the information in a user-friendly way which would facilitate the navigation in the ECIS portal.
We would appreciate your responses by 31 December 2023.

CanScreen-ECIS workshop for cancer screening experts
IARC, Lyon, France
Researchers from IARC and partner institutions organized a workshop for cancer screening experts as part of the “Strengthening cancer screening data collection to update the European Cancer Information System and improve quality and coverage of cancer screening programmes in Europe” (CanScreen-ECIS) project. The workshop was attended by 64 experts from 32 European countries, both online and on site at the new IARC building in Lyon, France.
